Now I am the founder of the Life Matters Hypnosis Academy where I, along with my team, teach and train compassionate, ethical people to become IMDHA certified and start their own money-making hypnosis businesses too.

To graduate from LMHA and become certified by the IMDHA, students must complete all of the required 150 live, on-line, classroom hours and 70 hours of independent study and practice and pass the IMDHA’s written exam at the end of the course to demonstrate their competency.

That said, there are some things one must be aware of. Those that are successful in any business understand that it takes time, consistency, a strong work ethic; a willingness to seek help from coaches and mentors as needed, and a commitment to sharpening your skills as a hypnotist.
According to SalaryExpert.com in San Antonio, Texas where Life Matters Hypnosis Academy is located the average base salary for a Hypnotherapist is $96,917. Note that a Hypnotherapist is someone who also holds a specific type of professional license, for example, a medical doctor, dentist, registered nurse, dental hygienist, licensed professional counselor, LMSW, or LMFT all can use the title Hypnotherapist. People with these professional designations are often employed by mental health agencies or practices that bill insurance companies which in turn provide them with a steady paycheck. These folks would also most likely using hypnosis in combination with the therapeutic training they are licensed to practice.
A Hypnotist is someone who does not hold one of the professional licenses mentioned above, but has completed a rigorous hypnosis certification program and passed the accompanying certification exam. They are equally as qualified to practice hypnosis as the hypnotherapist as the hypnosis training they receive is identical, however, insurance companies typically do not cover their services.
To be clear, LMHA’s training is for those who want to become either a hypnotherapist or hypnotist. The training is the same. The titles our graduates use are different as determined by the criteria outlined above.
I began with a private practice. My current rates are between $195 and more than $495 a session depending on the session type. Life Matters Hypnosis Academy is another income stream. This is more than enough money and work for me. Of course, I have many years of experience. It might be wiser for a beginning hypnotist/hypnotherapist to price their services more modestly until they build their practice and reputation. I share my rates with you as one way of illustrating how lucrative this career can be.

How Our Hypnosis Academy Works

We do our best to be efficient with our time and make the Academy do-able for you. Classes are held live on Zoom. If you are unable to attend class for some unavoidable reason, you will be sent a recording of the class so you won’t miss any information. That said, we do want you to attend class live so you can ask questions in the moment and learn from one another.
You can attend LMHA no matter where you are in the english-speaking world. Classes are on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you have a J-O-B, it’s no problem.
Class is held every other weekend [with a few exceptions], so you can still have a life. Yes, you will have homework and need to spend time outside of class completing assignments, and it’s completely manageable. Approximately three hours a week if you stay on top of it. You will practice your hypnosis skills on friends and family members a lot outside of class. You will write your own original hypnosis scripts to solidify your knowledge and understanding of the structure of a hypnosis session, language patterns and their proper use. You will be encouraged to start practicing with clients after your very first class. I [Bill Moyer, LMHA Owner & Master Trainer] will personally be available to mentor you every step of the way. As many new graduates have questions as they begin to work with clients on their own, LMHA continues to provide mentoring for the first six months after graduation for no additional fee. One entire weekend is devoted to business and marketing essentials to ensure you are set up for success. Students are offered additional opportunities to work with and learn from our trusted marketing and website partners. You will meet them while taking the course and since you are on this website, you have both seen and read some of their work already. Registration is open. Pay in full by August 1 to receive the full course for $2,995. After August 1, the price will be $3,995."

Do you offer a discount?
Yes. Register & pay in full for the entire course before August 1, and the course is $2,995. After August 1 it is $3,995.
If I need to withdraw, can I get a refund?
If you need to withdraw from LMHA, a refund may be given as follows: the refund is based on the precise number of course time hours the student has paid for, but not yet used, at the point of termination, up to the 75% completion mark, after which no refund is due. Up to $100 in any administrative fees charged shall be retained by the school. Refunds for course hours used will not be honored for any reason.
What if I change my mind?
LMHA has a 72-hour no-questions-asked cancellation policy. Send us your request via email and we will refund your tuition minus any administrative and credit card processing fees we may have incurred.
Can I try a class or two or do I have to commit to the entire program?
Yes, we LMHA is divided into 3 modules: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced + Business & Marketing. You can start with the Basic module and go from there. Basic Hypnosis, by itself, is $1,200 when paid 4 weeks prior to class start, & $1,400 thereafter. Remember, the full course is only offered once a year so, if you decide you want to continue with your training, you will either need to continue this year or wait a full year to proceed with the program. Can I take the modules out of order?
No. You must take them in the following order: Basic>>Intermediate>>Advanced +Business & Marketing
Do I have to get certified by the IMDHA?
No, though, why would you not want to? The IMDHA will help you advance your career, provides valuable resources and networking opportunities, and is dedicated to upholding high standards in the field of hypnosis.
Can you guarantee I’ll make money as a hypnotist?
The course goes deep and you will be very knowledgeable and capable of hypnotizing people.
